- Incoloy 925 Nickel Alloy Wire UNS N09925 1366°C Melting Point High
Performance Nickel-Based Alloy Wire
Incoloy 925 wire is a high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloy
wire with excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. It is
widely used in chemical, marine, energy and medical fields. Its
main components include 42%-46% nickel, 19.5%-22.5% chromium,
2.5%-3.5% molybdenum and 1.5%-3.0% copper, which give it excellent
resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride ion stress
corrosion cracking.
Incoloy 925 wire has excellent mechanical properties, with a
tensile strength of ≥965 MPa, a yield strength of 758-965 MPa, an
elongation of 18%-27%, and a hardness of up to 38 HRC. It performs
well in both oxidizing and reducing environments, especially in
sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and marine environments. This
alloy wire can be used to make welding wires, spring wires, heat
exchanger components, submarine pipelines and medical devices, etc.
It is an ideal material for handling high temperatures and
corrosive media.

The alloy has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion
cracking and performs well in reducing chemical environments. The
addition of molybdenum and copper enhances its resistance to
pitting and crevice corrosion.
Incoloy 925 wire has a tensile strength of 685 MPa, a yield
strength of 271 MPa and an elongation of 56% after solution
treatment. After age hardening, the tensile strength can be
increased to 1154 MPa, the yield strength is 832 MPa and the
elongation is 27%.
Incoloy 925 wire has good cold working properties and can be
processed into wires of different specifications by cold rolling,
cold drawing and other methods.
