2. Hastelloy C4 Pipe Fittings
HastelloyC-4 is an austenitic low-carbon nickel molybdenum chromium
alloy. The main difference between Nicrofer 6616 hMo and other
early developed alloys with similar chemical compositions is their
low carbon, silicon, iron, and tungsten content. This chemical
composition gives it excellent stability at 650-1040 ℃, improving
its resistance to intergranular corrosion. Under appropriate
manufacturing conditions, it can avoid sensitivity to edge
corrosion and corrosion in the heat affected zone of the weld.
The characteristics of HastelloyC-4 are:
Has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media,
especially in the reduced state.
Has excellent resistance to local corrosion in halides.
